Program Policies
We want to set clear expectations so everyone has a smooth season. Here are the key things to know:
All programs except for the Women’s Program run for 7 weeks (you pay for 6, the 7th is built in as a bonus or makeup).
The Women’s Only program is 6 weeks.
If you miss a week, it can’t be rescheduled but your built-in bonus week is considered the makeup.
Programs are non-refundable.
Because spots are limited and sell out, your registration holds that space for the season.
Lessons run in most conditions: snow, cold, rain, or shine.
On rare occasions we may postpone for safety. If that happens, you’ll receive an email alert (by 8:00 am for morning lessons or 2 hours before an afternoon/evening lesson).
Helmets are strongly recommended for all participants.
Rentals require a credit card on file for security; replacement fees may apply for lost, stolen, or damaged equipment.
Please review chairlift and mountain-safety guidelines with your child before their first lesson.
Every participant needs a Season Pass or a Program Lift Ticket on their lesson day.
Program-priced lift access and rentals are only available to enrolled participants and are valid only on your program days.
👉 You’ll also receive a confirmation email before your first class that repeats these essentials, so you don’t have to memorize everything now.
FAQ’s
All multi-week lessons kick off the first weekend of January. You’ll get a reminder email with your start date and details once you sign up.
Nope — we take those holiday weekends off the schedule because so many people are away those days. Your program just picks back up the following week.
To keep groups consistent, your day and time are locked in once you enroll. If you’re worried about a conflict, pick the slot that works best for the season.
We do our best to keep groups steady, but we can’t guarantee the same instructor every time. Rest assured, all of our instructors follow the same teaching approach so progress stays on track.
It depends on the program. In Club Mount Peter, kids ride independently once they’re comfortable. In other programs, instructors may ride with them or pair them up with other students. Safety is always our top priority.
All programs meet on the snow in front of the Rental Building. Look for the Mountain School signs and our instructors in uniform.
Dress in warm, layered clothing, waterproof gloves, and bring a helmet (highly recommended).
Our parking lot is large and gravel, so give yourself at least 15 minutes to walk to your meeting area and get your equipment ready if you are not renting equipment. If you’re renting equipment, plan to arrive 30–60 minutes early so you’re ready to go when class starts.
