Mount Peter is known for many things, like our famous Free Beginner Ski and Snowboard School, our great snowmaking and expert grooming, an awesome terrain park, our top-notch racing and development programs, and our family atmosphere.
Living in Warwick, many of us take for granted what is right in our back yard.
Mount Peter has always given back to the community in many ways over the years. This year Mount Peter would like to help end hunger here in the Hudson Valley. We are teaming up with a great organization: The Food Bank of the Hudson Valley, which helps to provide more than 12 million pounds of food to nearly 400 member agencies in Orange, Ulster, Dutchess, Rockland, Sullivan, and Putnam counties. Warwick is lucky enough to have two locations where anyone can go to get food to feed their families. The Food Bank doesn’t just stop at helping Hudson Valley residents; they also donate food to the local animal shelters
This season, Mount Peter’s cafeteria staff will be donating all “tips” and change left by customers to the food bank. It is so easy to donate: You can go to the link http://foodbankofhudsonvalley.org/ and click donate. When you do, put Mount Peter into the dedication box so we can see how much we have raised!! Or when you come inside for your hot chocolate please put your change into the bin!
Your financial donation truly goes a long way at the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley. Because the bulk of its food is donated and it operates very efficiently, the Food Bank is able to provide 4 meals worth of food to a hungry person for every dollar donated.
Thank you from the cafeteria staff at Mount Peter.
Sincerely,
Samantha Capezza
