Mount Peter has turned thousands of beginning skiers and snowboarders into life-long enthusiasts. We’re famous for our Free Beginner Lessons on weekends and holidays and we’ve even helped launch a few competitive careers. Free Beginner Lessons are located at the base of the mountain.
Over the decades, our Mountain School has established a reputation as a highly regarded instructional destination by providing an outstanding level of teaching. Lessons are led by instructors certified by the PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) and AASI (American Association of Snowboard Instructors), and our Mountain School Director is a certified member of the PSIA Development Team.
NOTE: Six packs are no longer being offered for the purchase of lessons.

Excellent customer service. Highly recommended for teaching kids to ski.Tom BarberFebruary 12, 2024Love Mount Peter! My son has been going there for three years. Great private lessons and very accessible.Indian AmericanFebruary 11, 2024Nice ski area that’s compact and easy in/out. Good for beginner ski lessons (haven’t yet tried the overall mountain). Patient, attentive and skilled instructors at the mountain ski camp (kids did the 2hr weekend Kid Ski Camp - they effectively got a private lesson). The size is just right - I dropped the family right next to the rentals and they were on the snow in 15m. Far cry from the madness that’s Mountain Creek. And it’s right off NY thruway so a breeze to get to.Shylji S.February 10, 2024It was amazing… we enjoyed it a lotTwinkle ParekhFebruary 10, 2024Great place to take your kid for skiing and snowboarding. Really appreciate his time and efforts.Dov KrauszFebruary 6, 2024This place is / was amazing. Very nice and helpful staffClaudia GomezFebruary 5, 2024I went snow tubing on Saturday morning with my 2 year old, 6 year old and my niece and nephew who are in the same age bracket. We all had an awesome time. The staff was unbelievably nice, friendly and helpful. One of them almost leaped to their deaths trying to stop a tube from going downhill before others had a chance to move out of the way. Not only are these young men good at their jobs but they are so pleasant considering they are standing out in the cold for long hours. You have my respect and applause ??Load more
