Mount Peter Makes It Quicker, Easier to Hit the Slopes

New Rental Building

New York’s Family Mountain Opens Dec. 27 with Online Purchasing, Larger Rental Building and More

WARWICK, N.Y. (Dec. 27, 2021) – Mount Peter, New York’s family mountain, is making it quicker and easier for skiers, riders and snow tubers to hit the slopes when the season opens Dec. 27 with a new ticketing area and a software system that allows guests to buy tickets in advance online and reserve a date.

Mount Peter will open its 86th season with several new facilities. A new 5,000 square foot rental shop with nine family pods and two customer lanes more than doubles the size of the previous rental space and creates a more efficient flow. The building also features state-of-the-art boot drying racks.

Guests can plan a trip in advance with new software that allows them to purchase tickets online at www.mtpeter.com. On site, visitors will find a new, more efficient ticketing building, and new kiosks where they can pick up tickets previously purchased online.

“It’s a brand new season, with new ways to get your tickets and equipment and start your day of fun more quickly,” said Amy Sampson-Cutler, Executive Manager of Mount Peter. “We’re thrilled to welcome back skiers, riders and tubers. They’re going to love our improved operations, and the same fun and excitement they enjoy every year at Mount Peter.”

“We could not have done this project without the team from Thom Woglom Construction and Roe Brothers Lumber. The hard work and guidance from both of them was invaluable and so much appreciated. This building is a long time coming and would not have happened without them,” said Rebecca Kullberg, General Manager of Mount Peter. “We would also like to thank your own mountain operations team, who have worked tirelessly to get this project, and our new ticketing center, up and running before opening day.”

Winter outdoor enthusiasts of all levels are welcome. Mount Peter’s famous FREE beginner lessons are offered on weekends and holidays to introduce newcomers to the sport. Mount Peter also offers private and family lessons, including mid-week learn-to-ski and snowboard packages.

Guests are encouraged to check out Mount Peter’s online snow report. You can also call the Mount Peter Snow Phone at (845) 986-4992 to hear the latest trail openings and conditions.
