WARWICK, N.Y. (December 05, 2025) – Mount Peter, proudly known as New York’s Family Mountain, is officially open for the 2025–2026 winter season, a season that marks an extraordinary milestone: the mountain’s 90th anniversary.

For nine decades, families, friends, and snow lovers have created unforgettable memories on Mount Peter’s slopes. From beginner lessons to thrilling runs, festive tubing outings to warm gatherings at Pete’s Pub, Mount Peter remains a cherished tradition just a short drive away in the heart of the Hudson Valley.

“This year is incredibly meaningful to us,” said Executive Manager Amy Sampson-Cutler. “Ninety seasons of smiles, winter fun, and shared experiences, that’s what makes Mount Peter so special. Visitors can once again enjoy Mount Peter’s famous free beginner lessons on weekends and holidays, private and family lessons, and a mountain full of opportunities for all skill levels. The popular snow tubing hill is back and better than ever, and a great winter option for birthday parties and group outings. And when it’s time to refuel, the mountain’s cafeteria serves crowd-pleasing favorites all season long.

This winter marks an extraordinary milestone for Mount Peter- 90 years of skiing, riding, memories, and community. It’s a legacy few mountains can claim, and one made possible by generations of families who have called Mount Peter their winter home.

Throughout the season, Mount Peter will honor its past, present, and future through special promotions, commemorative experiences, and community-spirited moments designed to celebrate everyone who has helped shape the mountain’s story.

The celebration will culminate in a special 90th Anniversary event on January 31, 2026, featuring live entertainment, family-friendly festivities, and a heartfelt tribute to the mountain’s enduring impact across generations. Additional details will be announced soon.
